Constable Derick Evans began his career in law enforcement with DallasCounty Constable’s office Precinct 7 in 1989.His leadership abilities were recognized early as he was promoted early in his career to assistant chief deputy.
Displaying a great concern for the safety of the children in our community, he was allowed to spearhead a zero tolerance policy towards school violence, whichcontinues today.
Constable Evans received his basic and Intermediate Peace Officer Licenses from DallasBaptistUniversity.He received additional training at the DallasCounty Sheriff’s Academy, CollinCountyLawEnforcementAcademy, CedarValleyCommunity College in Dallas, SouthwestTexasStateUniversity and SamHoustonStateUniversityCriminalJusticeCenter.He has earned and been awarded his Advanced and Master Peace Officers Certifications from the State of Texas.

Help to reduce the incidence of speeding and the number of uninsured motorist on the streets ofPrecinct 1.
Tempered truancy enforcement efforts with compassion and mentorship
Maintained a strong history of commitment to the community, going above and beyond to make himself and his deputies available to assist area schools, local law enforcement agencies, churches and community leaders to increase the safety of our children at school, in school zones and in our neighborhoods.
